Tutorial Number 1
NEW Totorials added for Photoshop
I promised that i would place tutorials for the visitors and here they are, please do not rip or distribute without my permission and the respected owners. Don’t do it … it is pretty sad to be honest, and please do not claim the tutorials as yours! Well i will be posting new tutorials every week and for now, it is a simple render tutorial and if they are useful to you, then i might even post a few more today!
To view the tutorials, please click “Continue reading ‘Tutorial Number 1″ then click the image to enlarge.
Tutorial Number one
1. Ok, firstly cut out your image and place it where you want it on your sig.
2. Duplicate the render layer (right click >> duplicate layer)
3. Make three duplicates of the original render layer, you should now have 4 render layers (1 original, 3 duplicates)
4. Select the original render layer then go to Filter > blur > gaussian blur and do a gaussian blur between 1.5 and 3.
5. Select the first duplicate layer then go to filter > blur > smart blur and do a smart blur of radius 3 and threshold 25.
6. On the 2nd duplicate layer desaturate it (ctrl+shift+U) and set the layer style to ‘hard light’
7. On the 3rd duplicate layer desaturate it and set the layer style to ’soft light’
8. (Optional) (On the 2nd or 3rd render layer) If your render looks too dark go to Image > adjustments > brightness/contrast and move the bars until your render looks better.
9. This is an additional step, i reccommend you do it though. Now we add some colour, select the 3rd render layer and go to image > adjustments > colour balance. Play about with the bars until you get something that looks good. Try to make your render colour similar to your background for better blending Do it on all three sections (midtones, shadows and highlights)
YOUR RENDER SHOULD NOW BE COMPLETE!
***CHECK LAYER ORDER!*** should look like the following…
To finish it off blend your render in by using the soft round 65 px brush to lighly blend the bottom of your render in. Set the layer to either lighten or linear dodge and on an opacity of 70%.
